Dr. Theron Schutte
Dr. Theron Schutte, Principal at Boone Middle School has been selected as the 2002-2003 IAMLE Middle Level Educator of the Year. Dr. Schutte has been with the Boone Community School District for seven years. Prior to serving in Boone, Dr. Schutte was Associate Principal at Washington Middle School in Clinton, Iowa from 1992-1995, and teacher and coach at Washington Middle School from 1985-1992.
Dr. Schutte was nominated by Boone Middle School teacher Sue Gradoville. Sue writes, in part, “ Dr. Schutte is the epitome of a middle level educator. He has been instrumental in leading our staff, other educators in our district, and members of our community in believing that we have a top-notch middle school. We have implemented a more comprehensive exploratory program, foreign language program, a strong advisory program, and many non-classroom opportunities for our seventh and eighth graders (including service learning and student government).”
Dr. Schutte will be recognized at the October 1-3 Midwest Regional Conference in Ames, Iowa for his accomplishments. Congratulations Dr. Schutte.
